Overview

The Commission Details page in AGENTVIEW allows you to view, update, and manage all aspects of an existing transaction’s commission. This includes modifying commission inputs, updating adjustments, and recalculating your net earnings in real time.

This feature ensures that your commission records remain accurate as transaction details change throughout the lifecycle of a deal.


Accessing the Commission Details Page

To edit a commission, navigate to the Commission Tracker and select the transaction you wish to update. This will open the Commission Details page, where all current values and adjustments are displayed.


Understanding the Layout

The Commission Details page is organized into the following sections:

  • Transaction Information (Name, Type, Status)
  • Commission Inputs (Sale Price, Commission %, Split % or Flat Amount)
  • Adjustments (Optional additions and deductions)
  • Net Commission Display (Final calculated earnings)

Each section works together to calculate and display your true commission.



Step 1: Update Transaction Information

At the top of the page, you may edit general transaction details such as:

  • Transaction Name
  • Transaction Type
  • Status (Active, Pending, Sold/Leased, etc.)

Updating this information helps keep your records organized and accurate.



Step 2: Modify Commission Inputs

Depending on how the commission was originally created, you will see one of the following input types:

Commission-Based Transactions

You can update:

  • Sale Price
  • Commission Percentage
  • Your Split Percentage

Any changes made to these fields will automatically update the base commission.

Amount-Based Transactions

You can update:

  • Flat Commission Amount
  • Sale Price (for reference)

The flat amount serves as your base commission.



Step 3: Edit Adjustments

The Adjustments section allows you to modify any previously added fees or credits.

For each adjustment, you can:

  • Update the Label to better describe the item
  • Change the Type (Add or Subtract)
  • Adjust the Amount as needed

You may also:

  • Click “+ Add” to include a new adjustment
  • Click the delete (×) button to remove an adjustment

All adjustments are editable at any time and will immediately impact your total.



Step 4: Review Net Commission

As you make changes to commission inputs or adjustments, AGENTVIEW automatically recalculates your Net Commission in real time.

The Net Commission represents your final earnings after all adjustments have been applied and is calculated as follows:

Base Commission ± Adjustments = Net Commission

This value updates instantly, allowing you to verify accuracy before saving.


Step 5: Save Changes

Once all updates have been made, click the Save button to apply your changes.

AGENTVIEW will update:

  • Commission inputs
  • Adjustment entries
  • Final net commission value

This ensures your transaction reflects the most current and accurate financial data.


Important Notes

  • Changes are not saved until you click Save
  • Adjustments are optional but recommended for accuracy
  • Removing all adjustments will revert the net commission to the base amount
  • You can return to this page at any time to make additional updates

Best Practices

  • Regularly review and update commissions as deals progress
  • Use clear and consistent adjustment labels
  • Double-check your Net Commission before saving
  • Keep all transaction-related costs documented within adjustments
